God’s Presence Spiritually (GPS - 2)
We learned in our previous lesson that God’s Positioning System (GPS –1) is universally transmitted to all mankind. Every person on the face of this earth will have an opportunity to take a position in Christ. Living with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is the most blessed position in Heaven and Earth. This lifestyle in Christ Jesus is what brings us to the topic of GPS –2 because coming to Jesus is only the initial step toward Godliness. Accepting Jesus as your personal Lord is the first step toward accomplishing God’s Will for your life but many other steps are necessary to complete God’s Will for your life. You must understand God’s Word and recognize God’s Holy Spirit to satisfy the craving for spiritual maturity inside of your heart. This comes by commitment and perseverance in your spiritual walk with God, specifically God’s Holy Spirit. We are to maintain our spiritual position in Christ by a conscious awareness of God’s Presence Spiritually (GPS - 2). I don’t know about you, but I want to live inside of God’s Presence Spiritually for eternity. I want to be in position to receive all that God has for me. First we must receive the knowledge of God’s Will from His Holy written Word. Then we must be willing and obedient to God’s Word to even qualify to eat the good of the land according to Isaiah 1:19. Question, “Do you want to go your own way?” or “Do you choose a way that others deem to be fit?” I can only hope that your answer is “No!” As Christians we must purpose to abide in God’s Positioning System by being mindful of God’s Presence Spiritually. Christians must be committed to maintain humility before men and a thankful heart toward God. Be thankful to the Lord for all His wonderful blessings bestowed upon you. Be humble by never thinking too highly of yourself. No one should try to be humble in their own strength but rather let the nature of Christ’s humility flow out of you spiritually. As Believers displaying the character of Jesus we should be thankful and humble on purpose, not by pretense. The Greater One is on the inside of us proving we have the nature of God within. According to Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me”. I must find out what my part is and then endeavor to operate in that position (His calling, my commission) to fulfil God’s Will upon the earth. This means that staying tuned-in to God’s Perfect Satellite (GPS - 3) does not happen automatically but only by commitment and conviction. God’s Perfect Satellite is the Holy Ghost also positioned in your heart. He is always there to beckon unto your slightest whisper to God. Establishing a sacred (holy) fellowship with God is necessary to grow in God’s grace and understanding.
In our next lesson we will discuss how to stay tuned to the voice of the Holy Spirit by fine-tuning your reception to God. Amen!
